Egyptian defensive midfielder Ayman Abdel Aziz participated
in Konyaspor's latest 1-1 away draw with Kayserispor.
The next match for his side will be at home against
the close-to-relegation side Kocaeilispor, a game that
Ayman considers as a cup final as winning will put Konya
away from relegation danger.
With only five matches remaining in the
current season, Ayman's Konyaspor are not completely
safe. They are currently lying in the 14th spot in the
table with 32 points.
Konya have better chances to avoid relegation.
Their survival chances will be boosted if they managed
to win the upcoming home clash with Kocaelispor which
lie in the 17th spot with 26 points.
Egyptian anchorman Ayman Abdel Aziz who
is currently on a loan spell at Konya from his Egyptian
club Al-Zamalek spoke to press on the upcoming home
clash with Kocaeli.
Ayman sees the match as a cup final, and
asked the club fans to fill the stadium:
"We came back home last weekend with
a point from our away match versus Kayserispor. This
is not bad considering we played away from home".
"We still have three matches to play
on our home ground, I consider these matches as a must-win".
"The upcoming match against Kocaeli is very important,
it is much like a cup final for us and we have to win".
"We must play to our full potential in
this match and work as a team to win. I am asking the fans
to support us and fill the stadium. If we managed to win,
we will certainly be in a comfortable position".
It should be noted that Ayman returned to Turkish
Super League after a bust-up with Zamalek former coaching
staff. It is not yet known if he will extend his loan spell
at Konya for another season or he will return to Zamalek.
