Trabzon Without Luck At Kayseri
Date: 5-11-2007

Former manager of Ahmed Hassan, Abdelzaher El Saka, and Turkey - Ersun Yanal - started his reign at Trabzonspor well. Ayman Abdelaziz played the full game in the centre of the park as they won 2-1.

Great start for Ayman's new coach, who was a great fan of Hassan and El
Saka...

Again behind closed doors and in heavy rain, Trabzon did the job with a goal in either half. After a poor opening half hour in which the Ankara keeper was only tested once, the breakthrough came from a superb Umut header after a cross from the right. Gokdeniz had been dribbling the ball
strangely into a crowd of defenders rather than laying it back to the well-positioned Ayman, but it eventually found its way to the right where Ibrahim Yattara produced the great assist.

For the rest of the half and the start of the second, Ankaraspor attempted to equalise but couldn't get the all-important goal. Ayman rushed to block a shot in the second half and did just enough to pressurise the attacker and stop him from aiming the ball on target.

Despite many attacks from the visitors, Trabzon wrapped the game up when Ceyhun nodded the ball in with his foot from close range. Yattara had fought well for the ball on the right before putting a low in-swinging cross into the box as his second assist.

Minutes later, Ayman was facing his goal and made a nice swiping tackle while standing which took the ball off the attacker but fell to another. The eventual shot a couple of passes later to a deflection before striking the crossbar.

In the attack Ayman almost set up a goal himself when he hit a delightful first-time cross from the edge of the penalty area after Yattara had laid the ball back to him from the right by-line. The cross went towards three attackers, and Ferhat had a completely free header. He hit it hard but central and the keeper made a good stop.

Trabzon were given a scare in stoppage time when Huseyin converted a header into his own net, before a one-on-one for Ankaraspor seconds later. However, the referee stopped it as he judged there to have been a hand-ball in the potential assist.
