The people of Konya - the Sufi capital
- were today celebrating the Mevlana (Rumi) 800 Years
festival. Though this was happening inside the Konya
stadium, eyes were also on the evening game in Trabzon,

The match saw the meeting of three Egyptians:
Ayman Abdelaziz versus Abdelzaher El Saka and Mohamed
Abdullah. The latter didn't feature though.
The game was played under closed doors after a fan's
reaction Ayman's recent incident with an Israeli player,
and so there were no fans.
Despite this, Trabzon managed to edge a victory by
a single goal, continuing what has been a decent season
for the side.

Within minutes Konya were attacking their hosts, and
Da Silva came close with a shot that went whistling
wide after some lazy Trabzon passing gave him a sight
on goal.
But Trabzon responded, passing the ball well as El
Saka was forced to move a third of the way up the pitch
to try to block the swift moves. Omar Riza took a shot
from outside the box which went just wide of the target.
The long distance attempts continued with Konya's Washington
and forcing a super diving save from Tolga, before making
an even better one from a Da Silva curler.
