club magazine after his move in the middle of the season.
The Egyptian is confident his underachieving side will
recover the season.

"Trabzon has a great atmosphere.
They have loyal fans and we have a good team,"
Ayman said to start his speech.
He described his move to Trabzon, which EP had reported
the confusion of, as follows. "I learnt that both
clubs agreed on a transfer and I came to the city. But
after medical tests they (Trabzon) told me to wait without
signing. I had no time to wait and decided to return
to Ankara for Genclerbirligi's camp. Then they called
me again and said they'd agreed on a fee and we can
sign. I was very happy to wear the new shirt of my team.
This team has potential to be champions but we know
that we have to work so much for that."
Ayman is happy to return to his former manager, who
sees the efficient midfielder as his favourite player.
"I wanted to come to Trabzon years ago during the
first management time of Ziya Dogan. He was calling
me to transfer here. I played a last match with Malatya
against Trabzonspor, but I was unlucky to get injured
in my knee. Trabzon cancelled the offer and my dreams
fell down. They were going in all the cups and had a
chance of winning the league title. But I couldn't transfer
at that unlucky time."
"Ziya Dogan is a great coach. He has a system
and I am the key point of his system. We were very successful
at Malatya and Gencler. I know that we will be successful
here. We have the same character. He likes my greed
to win the game. We want to win every match. We never
accept unsuccessful performances. The Turkish league
is very hard. Discipline, mentality and system are all
very important in this league and I think I'm fit to
be successful here."

Despite a bad start to the season, Ayman is confident.
"We want to be champions next year. But we have to think
about this year firstly. Trabzon had a very bad first half
of the season. But we are going well and I think we will get
into the UEFA Cup. We will finish in the top four in the league
and fight for the Turkish Cup.
"I have played football in Turkey for seven years. Trabzon
is the only team that can be champions other than the big
three clubs (Besiktas, Fenerbahce and Galatasaray). I believe
the Championship can be with this club.
"I can't play for national team because of some problems.
I have a army service problem in Egypt. They are angry at
me for taking a Turkish passport to play football. I am also
offended by them and I don't go to the national team because
of that."
Ayman also talks about his favourite players in his position.
"Aurelio and Huseyin Cimsir are very good from Turkey.
I also like Patrick Vieira, Claude Makelele and Gilberto Silva."
