Turkish Cup quarter final match between Erzurumspor & Kocaelispor ended, Kocaelispor won 1-0 and qualified to the semifinal with Ayman Abdel Aziz's goal which came in the extra time after 108 minutes of goalless score.

Because of heavy snow fall, the field was covered by snow. Kocaeli players are not ready for such weather conditions while their opponents already have the advantage of playing on a snowy pitch.

The match was crucial for Kocaelispor as they their chances to qualify for the UEFA Cup next season look slim, and winning the Turkish Cup will give them the needed place in the UEFA Cup.

Kocaeli's Hikmat Karaman position as coach was insecure, and a defeat in this match will mean his relief from his job.

Both Egyptians Mohamed Seddeek and Ayman Abdel Aziz played from the start, Ayman Abdel Aziz started as defensive midfielder while Seddeek played in the central defense.

In the first half Kocaeli had two attempts on goal, one of them was from Ayman Abdel Aziz. While in the second half, Mohamed Seddeek had the chance to score his first goal with Kocaeli, he was in the clear, one-on-one with the keeper but the icy pitch made him lose control over the ball and he blazed it over.

When Bulgarian playmaker Alex Yordanov changed with a substitute ,Ayman Abdel Aziz played as playmaker instead.

Erzurums started to cause danger on Kocaeli's net and 2 shots came from the post.

Ayman showed that he can play on the ice and made a great shot but it was kept by the goalkeeper.

The 2nd half also ended goalless, and the first half of the extra time as well. However, in the 108th min. Ayman Abdel Aziz scored the golden goal for Kocaeli, he got the ball in the center of the field, and moved to the left flank, and advanced into the penalty area, dribbled two players and looked for support, but no one was there, so he decided to dribble a defender and to advance to the goal, his trick was successful and he didn't lose his balance despite the icy pitch, finally he made an excellent shot which went right into the net.

After the goal, Ayman ran to his coach and kissed his head in Laurent Blanc-Fabian Bartez style.

While Kocaeli Club newspaper have chosen Ayman as man of the match, while they said that Seddeek was surprised when he saw the snow, as he said that it was the first time for him to see snow.
