Gencler Happy with Ayman's Performance Against Hassan
Date: 31-8-2005
Wrote by: EP's reporter in Turkey Ali AVCI

Genclerbirligi today sacked the coach of Ayman Abdelaziz, Ziya Dogan. Dogan could only take earn two points in the first four weeks for Genclerbirligi, and couldn't solve the attacking problems of the team.

President Ilhan Cavcav hired Mesut Bakkal as the new manager.

Bakkal was the assistant manager of Ersun Yanal for Gencler and Turkey. After Ersun Yanal was sacked from Turkey, the national team hired Fatih Terim as coach two months ago.

Ilhan Cavcav offered the team back to Ersun Yanal, who enjoyed a great success at the club, but Yanal rejected the offer. Then, Gencler signed his deputy, Mesut Bakkal. The young manager started with his new team today.

The news is a disappointment for Ayman, who looked at Dogan as a fatherly figure, and the main reason for Ayman signing for Gencler was to reunite with the manager, who is now no longer there.
