Ayman Abdelaziz, a player known of his consistency
spent another successful season in Turkey. Ironically,
the midfielder never got called for the Egyptian NT.

Most people in Egypt almost forgot the
name Ayman Abdelaziz, the former Zamalek midfielder
who travelled to Turkey long years ago to join Kocaelispor.
The Egyptian midfielder proved himself in the three
clubs that he played for in Turkey and always booked
himself a place in the first team in each club.
In the previous season, Ayman started
as a player of Malatyaspor, the midtable club, and ended
the season at Abdel Zaher El Saka's Genclerbirligi.
Ayman helped Gencler to get back on track as the club
finished the season in the 5th spot in the table despite
their awful start.
Ayman started the season while he was
suffering from a long term knee injury that kept him
out of action for months and prevented him from signing
for Trabzonspor. The Egyptian managed to recover from
his injury and got back to action after one month from
the season's start.
The first game for Ayman Abdelaziz was
against Mohamed Gouda's Ankaragücü and he
played only for 30 minutes because of his lack in fitness.
Soon after that, Ayman returned strong and booked himself
a place among the starting eleven of Malatya who kept
themselves in the 5th spot in the Turkish Super League
table for sometime.

Despite the interest from France
and Trabzonspor, Ayman decided to extend his
contract with Malatya for one year. It was an unexpoected
decision from Ayman at that time but in another unexpected
decision, he signed for Abdel
Zaher El Saka's Genclerbirligi after the winter break.
With help from Ayman and El Saka, Gencler got
back to victories and managed to end the season in a respectable
position (5th).
Ayman scored three goals this season, one for
Malatya in their cup clash with Gaziantep
Buyuksehir Belediyespor and two
for Gencler against Ankaragucu.
The player proved to be a solid performer in
the last season as he used to do in the previous seasons.
However, Ayman is yet to be called by the national team, maybe
due to the abundance of players in his position, the anchor
man.
