Last Weekend: Penalty vexes Ayman!
Date: 5-11-2004
Wrote: EP's reporter in Turkey Fatih Ozkan

Ayman ran after the ball for the entire game but his and his team-mates' efforts could not change things from going wrong and Kayserispor had a comfortable breath as they cleared out of the relegation positions.

First Half:

In the minute 9, Ayman had the chance to score from the outside of the area after he met with Ilyas' pass but he shot well wide and over the bar.

Seven minutes later, Malatya's Atilla Birlik sent a free-kick into the area but Metin got control of the ball before Osterc jumped to head.

In the minute twenty-two, Osterc managed to head the ball towards the goal this time after Ilyas had directed the free-kick into the area, but Osterc saw the ball going well over the bar.

In the 28th minute, the visitors found the pot of gold they need. Mert knocked Balili to the ground and the referee awarded Kayserispor a deserved penalty. Johnson came to the white point and scored from the penalty spot: 0-1.

Three minutes later, Serkan Bensol used the right flank to cross the ball to Ilyas but the latter could not equalize the game.

In the minute 34, Muslim's free-kick drifted into the box and Ilyas touched the ball but the ball went near the goal over the bar.

The first half ended with only a single goal from the visitors.

Second Half:

In the minute 51, Omer Erdogan headed short to Osterc after he has received the ball from Ilyas but Osterc could not yield the goal and the ball went flying over the bar.

A minute later, Malatya's Bilal found the ball in front and he took a spectacular shot but Metin tipped the ball for a corner.

In the minute 55, Ayman gave an intelligent pass to M'bayo but he put the ball out by the by-line.

In the minute 60, Bilal received the ball from the ball Osterc who met the ball by Serkan Bensol but Bilal could not once more find the net.

In the minute 77, Malatya's Mert blasted the ball at the crossbar from 30 yards and the ball returned to the field after hitting the post.

During the game, Ayman fell inside the box after it looked like he was pushed in a very debatable moment, but much to the anger of the Egyptian, the referee told him to get up.

The remaining minutes did not give the opportunity to find the winning goals for Ayman's side and Kayserispor found a pot of gold as they did not expect to get three points from one of the hardest away matches in Super League.

They cleared off the relegation positions somehow as they became the 15th team in the table.
