The Pharaohs showed Brazil superior skills just three
days ago. However, they couldn't come up with any points
from the game. Now, the Pharaohs showed that they can
be more tactical than the Italians and Hadary showed
that he can be superior to Buffon.
Egypt played a typical conservative defensive
style that Italy normally use throughout the whole game.
The gaps in the Egyptian defense were all closed, the
pressing on Italy players and the closing down was perfect
to stop the Italian midfield from shooting from distance.
The game was tactical, the spaces were
little and players like Abotreka and Zidan couldn't
shine as they did in the Brazil match .Such scenario
was expected though, but the Pharaohs really exceeded
the expectations in playing extremely well in terms
of marking and closing down.
Italy, on the other side, looked in a
very poor shape. All their stars couldn't show anything
special. In particular, Andrea Pirlo, who is well known
for being one of the best freekick takers never hit
the target despite having three chances from freekicks.
The Pharaohs played this game with three
defensive midfielders while Abotreka played the role
of the support man behind Zidan.

Mohamed Hommos replaced Ahmed Hassan in selection. The Ismaily
midfielder provided a little more pace within the Egyptian
midfield. He also scored the only goal from a very well placed
header.
In goal, El Hadary was at his best, it was pleasing
to see the Egyptian Buffon playing much better than the real
Buffon. El Hadary was without a doubt, the man of the match.
