The
Pharaohs gained the respect of the whole world despite
their 3-4 defeat at the hands of Brazil. Abotreka and
Zidan outplayed the title holders and showed skills,
pace, and talents more than what Brazilians can show.
On the other match of the day, Italy won convincingly
against USA by three goals to one.

Egypt - Brazil:
Credit must go to Shehata and all the
players for their superb second half performance against
one of the strongest teams in football history. Their
brave performance in the second half meant that everything
is possible .
The Egyptians managed to score three goals
against Brazil. They didn't concede three goals in one
match since 2005 when they lost to Argentina 1-3. However,
the Egyptians succeeded in what many world class teams
failed to do.
EP's ratings:
El Hadary: 4/10 El Hadary is in
a form crisis. It seems that playing for FC Sion had
serious effect on his form. Hadary was at fault in the
2nd goal as his reaction was too slow.
Ahmed Fathii 8/10 A real powerhouse
in the right flank. Sent a key pass to Abotreka in the
first goal, had a close effort on goal and prevented
Kleber from going forward.
Hany Said 5/10 Shaky in the first
half and got easily beaten by Kaka in the first goal.
However, he improved alot in the 2nd half.
Ahmed Said Oka: 5/10 Poor as the
rest of defenders in the first half but he played really
well in the 2nd.
Wael Gomaa: 5/10 At fault in the
2nd goal as he got beaten in the air by Fabiano. However,
he was solid in the 2nd half and made a few key tackles.
Sayed Moawwad: 8/10 Gave Brazil
all sorts of problems throughout the game. He also made
the assist for the 2nd goal.
Mohamed Shawky: 8/10 Very solid
in midfield. Did well and scored a good goal.
Hosny Abd Rabo: 7/10 At fault in
the 3rd goal. He did well though but faded a little
as time went on in the 2nd half.
Ahmed Hassan: 4/10 Delayed the
rythm, got easily beaten by speedy Brasilians.
Mohamed Abotreka: 10/10 Man
of Match. Outplayed Brazil. Assisted two goals superbly
and was involved in the making of the 2nd goal as well.
His technical skills, work rate and eye for the pass
were all top notch.
