Mohamed Shwky and Meteb scored two goals for the Pharaohs in the friendly versus Ghana which ended in a 2-2 draw. The Pharaohs had better chance to win the game but many easy changes were squandered and the game ended in a draw.

Egypt drew with Ghana in a friendly encounter. The Pharaohs scored first through Middlesbrough midfielder Mohamed Shawky who sent a bullet volley shot which hit the underside of the bar and hit the ground. However, only the match referee and his assistant saw it crossing the line and counted a goal for Egypt. However, replays showed that the ball didn't cross the line.

Before Shawky's goal which came in the 40th minute, Ahmed Hassan had a golden chance to score but he couldn't convert from a one on one situation. Zaki and Zidan also had two shots on goal. The first was denied by the Gahnean goalkeeer while Zizou's shot went just wide.

In the 2nd half, the guests equalized from a penalty kick after a hand ball inside the box by Hani Said. The goal came through Appiah who converted the spot kick confidently.

The guests managed to extend their lead via Prince Tago who made a good follow up on a long range drive which was parried by El Hadary.

However, Emad Meteb managed to end the game in a 2-2 draw as he scored tthe equalizer for Egypt six minutes before the final whistle. Meteb's goal started with a cross from Mohammadi from the right wing, the ball came off a defender and fell inside the box for the heavily marked Meteb who managed to control the ball superbly and take it past his marker before slotting it home with his left.
