Egypt advanced to the final match to face Senegal in the final after a 2-0 victory over Uganda. The Pharaohs had troubles penetrating the defense of their opponents thanks to the lack of off the ball movement and the sluggish gameplay. In the 2nd half, the Egyptian team improved with quick movement and passing and managed to score another goal through Zaki who scored the first as well.

First half:

3rd min. Ahmed Hassan shot the ball from outside the box but he missed the target.

4th min. Barakat sent a great cross from the right wing to Amr Zaki in the area, the latter tried a header but it didn't work and the goalkeeper had no problems saving the attempt. That should be a goal!

9th min. Dangerous cross from the right wing into Egypt's area but the Egyptian defense headed the ball clear.

10th min. Abo Treka chipped the ball to Moteb who tried a volley shot but it went way over.

13th min. Freekick in a good position for Egypt after a foul on Ahmed Hassan. Barakat swung it high but it missed everyone and went for a goal kick.

18th min. Amr Zaki tried to place the ball into the far corner from outside the area but his shot went narrowly wide.

20th min. Abo Treka made a nice one-two and entered the area from left, he fell onto the ground inside the box but the referee waved play on.

25th min. The ball was crossed high by Ahmed Hassan from the left flank to Barakat in the right side of the box, the latter couldn't keep the ball under control and it went for a goal kick.

28th min. A cross from the right wing was met by a weak header from Amr Zaki and the goalkeeper had no problems saving it.

30th min. Ahmed Fathi crossed the ball from the right wing to Ahmed Hassan who tried a header but it went way over.

32nd min. Nice through pass to Moteb in the box, he sent a low pass to Zaki but the latter too k much time to shoot and had to pass the ball back to Hassan who shot it weakly into the arms of the keeper.

38th min. Cross from the right wing to Moteb in the area, he controled the ball well but the finish was rather poor and the ball went harmlessly into the arms of the goalkeeper.

41st min. Corner kick for Egypt. It was played short to Barakat who crossed the ball from the right wing into the area but the goalkeeper collected the ball confidently.

45th min. GOAL FOR EGYPT! Terrific through pass from Ahmed Hassan to Amr Azki in the box, he controlled the ball well under pressure and firedt a low shot into the back of the net. 1-0 for Egypt.

45+1 Amr Zaki got the ball in the right side of the box and fired a low shot at goal but the keeper turned it behind for a corner.

End of the first half.

46th min. Moteb laid the ball well with his chest to Hassan at the edge of the box and the latter fired a superb volley shot but the keeper made a fingertip save and turned the ball away for a corner.

49th min. Moteb tried to advance inside the box on his own but he was tackled and the danger was cleared.

52nd min. the ball was crossed into the area to find Moteb who tried a header but he was denied by the post, the ball fell to Gomaa who shot it low but he hit the side netting.

55th min. Abo Treka sent a pass to Amr Zaki who tried a shot from way out but it went wide.

61st min. A cross from the right wing was met by the head of Abo Treka but he couldn't direct it and it sailed over the bar.

62nd min. Dangerous attack from Egypt ended with a cross from barakat into the box but it was headed behind for a corner.

63rd min. Moamed Abd El Wahab in, Tarek El Sayed out.

65th min. Ahmed Hassan sent a great blistering shot from way out but it was turned away for a corner by the keeper.

66th min. ZAKI SCORED THE 2ND FOR EGYPT! El Saka dribbled into the box and the ball reached Zaki inside the area, the latter buried the ball home with a low shot to make the score 2-0 for Egypt.

72nd min. Osama Hosni in, Amr Zaki out.

74th min. Dangerous cross into Egypt's area but El Saka headed the ball clear for a throw-in.

75th min. Abdel Monsef in, El Hadari out.

76th min. Osama Hosni dribbled into the area and sent a low pass in front of goal but the defense clearwed the Egyptian danger.

77th min. Abdel Wahab tried a shot from the right edge of the box but his shot went just wide.

79th min. Ahmed Hassan shot the ball from the edge of the box at goal but the goalkeeper had no problems saving his shot.

81st min. Ahmed Hassan dribbled into the box and played the ball into the near box to find Osama Hosni who hit the ball just wide.

82nd min. Hossam Hassan in, Moteb out.

84th min. Ibrahim Said in, Hassan Mostafa out.

87th min. Ahmed Hassan got the ball at the edge of the box, he tried a shot with his left but it went into the arms of the goalkeeper.

90th min. Abo Treka tried a chip from way out but his attempt went just wide.

90+2 Ibrahim Said crossed the ball into the near post but it was cleared for a corbner before Hossam Hassan.

90+4 Dangerous attack for Uganda, their forward Masimio Grey got in one on one situation with Monsef but his hit the ball just centimeters wide!

90+5 Final whistle.
