L'OM continue the away form crisis

The defeat of Mido's Marseille at the hands of Bordeaux yesterday had many negative effects on the Egyptian and his teammates. Domestically, the away loss added to the misery of Mido and his teammates as it sent them another step away from the league title as they were pushed back to the third place after Monaco and Lyon. On the European level, the defeat will hurt the players' morale ahead of their crucial away CL clash with the Portuguese giants, FC Porto next Tuesday.

Third away defeat for L'OM in a row!

Third away defeat in a row:

Last Saturday's defeat for L'OM at the hands of Bordeaux is their third consecutive away defeat. The Olympians are currently suffering from the away form crisis. They only win at home but things get quite different when they play outside the Velodrome.

Lyon clinched 2nd spot from L'OM:

The defeat of Marseille pushed them back to the 3rd spot in the table. They were sharing the first spot with Monaco before the match with 24 points. However, their loss together with the winning of both Monaco and Lyon relegated them to the 3rd place.

No Drogba, No Christanval against Lyon:

Another negative effect for last Saturday defeat; both L'OM top scorer Didier Drogba and the defender Christanval will be unavailable for the upcoming important league match between Marseille and Lyon next week end. Both players received the red card against Bordeaux and will be suspended for a couple of games. The Egyptian star Mido will surely get a better chance to impress in the upcoming two games as he will likely play as target man and will hopefully get back to scoring ways.

Morale down ahead of Porto clash:

Mido and Marseille will have a crucial away encounter in the CL against Porto. They already lost the home encounter by two goals to three and a victory in Portugal is crucial for them to improve their standings in the group. A defeat will surely mean their exit from the competition. It is worth noting that Porto won their last game in the Portuguese league as they defeated Nacional by one goal to nil last Friday.

Will Mido and his teammates recover quickly and turn the tables in the group next Tuesday? Only time will tell...
