Said's Bari Ready To Kick Off Promotion Campaign

Date: 8-9-2002
Wrote: EP's editor Islam Issa with special thanks to Bari's unofficial web-site, http://www.solobari.it for providing EP with information.

Hany Said has not been included in the Bari's line-up for their matches so far this season. However, Perotti, the manager takes him into consideration, and it is likely that Said will do something this season.

In the city, he has been considered as a very good player, and a talented youngster. The fans still remember his triumph when he got into the Serie A Foreign Team Of The Year, after he marked Zidane (it was said to be Zidane's worst match of the season).

The manager prefers to play 3 defenders, and Said as defensive-midfielder, but Markic took Said's place in the last match.

Bari's first matches this season were in the Tim Cup, they won 1-0 away to Cosenza, and 4-0 home to Catania. Hany Said may feature in their next matches, home to Crotone, and on the 14th they will kick off the Serie B campaign, against Ascoli.

Said's ban seems to have effected his career, as he may lose his place in the starting line-up. EP will bring more on Said, and an interview with him and some other Bari staff and players are being arranged.
