Hany Said's Viola achieved an important home victory
tonight against bottom club Avellino in the Italian
Serie B. Fiorentina went behind by a goal but bagged
the three points with the help of two goals in the last
minutes of the first half. The Egyptian player Hany
Said was not available for the game due to international
duty, but it was a good sign for the manager that he
is back from his injury and bad form.

Fiorentina: Cejas, Cherubini, Lucarelli,
Bacis, Maggio, Di Livio (29' Rizzo), Scaglia (36' Maspero),
Helguera, Andreotti(21 Bismark), Rigan?, Graffiedi.
Subs: Ivan, Rizzo, Ripa, Maspero, Bismark, Cicconi,
Manfredini.
Not the most rated opposition, but Viola managed to
show their confidence and ability to win convincingly.
This came after pressure on the manager who was expected
to put a better effort to get the side back to the prestigious
Serie A.
Early on, Viola had the chance to go up as they won
a penalty. However, Christian Rigan? missed the spot
kick as it was saved by Cecere. Ten minutes later Ivan
Tisci netted for the opposition who were now 1-0 up.
Viola reacted, and in the last minutes of the first
half went 2-1 up after Marco Andreotti and Mattia Graffiedi
scored two important goals.
With twenty minutes left the on-form legend Di Livio
crossed in for Maggio who made it 3-1 to Fiorentina,
to ensure the three points for the home side.
Goals: Tisci 33, Andreotti 44, Graffiedi 45,
Maggio 70.
Hany Said was unavailable due to international duty
as he played versus Sweden. He is however back from
injury and on form and is expected to move back up from
the reserves in the coming weeks...
