Hany Said was not present in Fiorentina's
eighteen-man squad as they were defeated by Palermo.
The game ended 2-0 to the home team Palermo, who went
up to third place after the victory. Meanwhile, the
Viola went down into sixteenth place.

The Viola did not match Palermo in the
game. With Hany Said not available yet again, Ariatti,
Di Livio, Scaglia and Maspero were in the midfield.
Had Hany been available he would have seen action,
as Scaglia had to go off after just six minutes.
Defender Lucarelli fouled Palermo star Luca Toni early
on, and this resulted in the first goal which was converted
from the spot by Eugenio Corini's. Not long after the
first goal, Palermo
doubled their lead via Di Donato's who hit a powerful
shot into the net.
In the second half, the Viola strikers had various
shots on goal but the opposing keeper was on top form.
Mattia Graffiedi's also hit the post, but it was not
enough for Hany's team-mates who were defeated by two
goals which had come in a six minute gap.
With this score, Palermo went on to fight for promotion,
but Fiorentina once again made their difficult task
of getting to Serie A even harder, and they lie in 16th
place.
Scorers: Corini '29 and Di Donato '35.
Palermo line-up: Berti, Ferri, Atzori, Terlizzi,
Conteh, Gasbarroni, Di Donato (23' Di Donato), Corini,

Comotto (32' Andreotti), Rizzo (9' Maggio), Ariatti,
Di Livio, Scaglia (6' Bismark), Maspero, Riganò,
