Just a few minutes of play for Hany

Date: 9-10-2003
Wrote: EP's reporter Islam Issa

Hany Said's Italian Serie B side Fiorentina did not perform too well as they edged a goal-less draw away to Pescara. They conceded many chances, but luckily no goals, and they went away with a point. Hany Said played just the last few minutes of the match as he was put on in the 42nd minute of the second half.

The opponents Pescara went out confidently. They hit the post via Emanuele Calaio, before squandering more chances. The 71st minute witnessed a red card for Viola's Alessandro Lucarelli, which meant that the tactical changes were limited. The home team Pescara won a penalty in the last minutes but luckily for Hany's team it struck the post. Cecchini was the man who missed the spot kick.

With three minutes left, Hany Said was brought on for Ariatti. Hany couldn't make too much of an impact in the late minutes as Percara searched for the winner. The game saw many yellow cards and was hardly fought. Viola were lucky to have not conceded and taken away a point to add to their Serie B tally.

Meanwhile, Hany Said will not be included in Egypt's friendly match against Senegal after it was announced that he is still needed in Italy.
