Hany Said played for Messina

Date: 5-5-2003

The EX BARI player and young talent HANY SAID who is currently on loan to MESSINA raised a lot of performance evaluating contradictions regarding his last display with the national team in the last catastrophic game versus a five stars French side.

He seemed fit physically and his passing accurate but what about his on field movements? is the change in position the reason for his very unstable performances? He played in a totally different role back in the BARI days where he used to play as a defensive midfielder and anchor man. After completing his loan to MESSINA he rarely saw action and he was shifted 20 yards towards his goal and played as centre defender.

In his last game with the mid table SERIE B side he played at the dying minutes of the game as a central defender. And that was all the way back to march!!

The game ended 2-1 to Messina and the formation was:

Messina: Storari, Portanova, Zoro, Giacobbo, Ametrano, Coppola (67' Sullo), Campolo (86' Said), Iannuzzi, Amauri, Vicari (60' Docente), Zampagna

Genoa:
Brivio, Rossini, Giacchetta, Cvitanovic, Malago', Bressan, Moscardi, Boisfer (61' Scantanburro), Bouzaiene (81' Mhadhbi), Mihalcea, Mascara (63' De Francesco)

And in the last game versus France he shifted position 3 times, starting as a defensive midfielder and ending as sweeper instead of EL SAKKA.

Is shifting his role and position in his new club" when he is fortunate enough to play" and with his national team the reason for the fuss regarding his drop in form or there is something else that is affecting the talented player form?
