In the last sixteen round of the Coppa
Italia (Italian Cup), Hany Said's AS Bari was able to
eliminate the giants Inter Milan. Bari defeated Inter
in the first leg 1-0 and shocked them yesterday night
2-1 at San Siro stadium.

Preview:
The first leg ended 1-0 to Bari, and Inter will take
no risks this time.
In the first leg, Inter played their reserve team,
including only a couple of their usual starters. This
time it is expected to be different.
The last-16's are heating up, with the prospect of other
giants going through, and Serie B side Bari shocking
Inter.
Hany Said didn't play in the
first leg and is expected to miss the 2nd leg game
as he was selected for Egypt's squad against UAE.
The match:
All three goals came in the second half, with Inter Milan
taking the lead in the 55th min. through Sergio Conceiçao
, who from close range headed home a precision free kick
by Alvaro Recoba curled in from the right channel.
Bari drew level in the 59th minute when Carlos
Gamarra of Inter Milan turned a Bellavista shot from
the right channel into the Inter net. (An own goal)
Substitute Jonathan Spinesi rounded off a miserable
evening for Cuper's troops with Bari s second
in the last minute of injury time. The Bari striker
prodded the ball home with an outstretched right foot
after Toldo mis-timed his save from a left wing cross.
Post game reactions:
Inter's coach Hector Cuper commented on the defeat
by saying:
"Elimination is always a hard thing to bear.
Without doubt, there's a lot of bitterness. Unfortunately,
we couldn't field a different side tonight. We have
a lot of problems at the moment, and now also with Kallon
. I assure you that it was the best side I could have
sent onto the pitch. We're going through a difficult
moment".
Team's captain Javier Zanetti commented also on
this unexpected result by saying:
"It's a disappointment and a shame to have lost
against Bari and to have been eliminated from the Coppa
Italia. They equalized too soon with respect to our
goal and after that it was very difficult to get into
their area. A very important away match against Parma
awaits us on Sunday. It will certainly be difficult
for us, but I think we can get the three points - we
have a lot of confidence and a strong desire to do well."
Bottom-Line:
Bari eliminated Inter Milan and advanced to the quarter
finals. Although Hany didn't participate in both games,
he will get his chance in the upcoming clashes in the
quarter finals round.
