Hany Said's AS Bari shocked Italian giants Inter Milan in the Coppa Italia (Italian Cup). Bari won the game by a single goal scored in the first half through Gaetano D' Agostino.

Preview:

With Hani Said getting injured in the last couple of months, he has not been chosen again by the manager for a while. He started on the bench, and was expected to come on.

Bari went into the game confident. They had to make the most of the home game, before they go to the San Siro.

The match:

The first leg of the last 16 game started in the evening. Hani was placed as one of the five substitutes for the match. Inter had a reasonably strong team, although they rested some of their big stars and played 5 youth players, as well as Mohammed Kallon.

After 25 minutes of the game a cross was played in from the right wing and Gaetano D'Agostino headed the ball into the goal.

Kallon and Martins attempted some shots on the Bari goalkeeper, but Bari managed to keep a clean sheet for the first half.

As the second half went past, the Serie B side continued keeping possession and seemed happy with the result.

Two of the substitutes came on but the Egyptian was not needed and he remained on the bench.

Bottom-Line
:

It was a fine performance by Bari. Next time they will face players like Crespo and Vieri, as the Inter manager was not pleased with this performance. Hani was not needed and may not be fully fit. He will probably not start the second leg, but may come on especially if the coach needs to defend a bit more.

Meanwhile in the other matches of the tournament, Perugia, AC Milan, Lazio and Roma are looking odds on to go through.

EP will update you on Bari's performances in this tournament as well as in Serie B.
