Hani Said's AS Bari were involved in a Serie B match
last night, home to rivals Lecce. This was expected
to be a hot derby. It proved an extremely difficult
match.
After a long wreckless first half, it was still 0-0.
The stadium was shocked 5 minutes from the end when
Chevanton scored for the visitors. Bari had to respond.
They managed to do so in stoppage time, via Anaclerio.
This was a huge sigh of relief, which prevented what
would have been their second home loss in a row.

Hani Said played in what was described
as "a real derby!" Bari played very well in
the first half, but failed to score because Spinesi
played a very bad match. Said played in central midfield,
and was "making some beautiful actions". He
was doing very well in the position. In the second half
though, he played on the right, but had more of a defensive
job. He did his job and intercepted many balls.
Chevanton of Lecce scored incredible goal and that was
Lecce's second attack. Bari needed to react, and in
stoppage time Palmieri played a beautiful ball to Gigi
Anaclerio who equalized. There was a wonderful roar
in the stadium as Anaclerio and Palmieri, both born
and bred in Bari, got the equalizing goal.
It was an amazing atmosphere, with an attendance of
over 25,000. Now Bari is are 5th in Serie B. They are
doing well but could have done with a win in the last
match. Hani played well and is proving to be a wonderful
regular for the side. The next match is Siena vs. Bari
next Saturday night.
