A Good Start For Hany Said's Bari

Date: 16-9-2002
Wrote: EP's editor Islam Issa with special thanks to EP's partner website, http://www.solobari.it for providing EP with information.

Hani Said's Bari were impressive in their opening Serie B match. They won 2-0 at home to Ascoli. The first goal was a wonderful one by Cordova, and the second was a penalty by Spinesi.

Hani Said came on for the second half and defended very well. He had a tough task as Bari had only 10 men for the second half.

Hani''s good performance will hopefully get him a place in the starting line-up, and with the suspension of defender Ingrosso, he may start the next match.

EP will bring you more details on H.Said's situation and on the the next match which is away to Genoa next Saturday.

Aside from Bari's news, Arsenal's keeper Rami Shaaban was selected as a sub this week:

Rami Shaaban was finally selected as a substitute in Arsenal's last match. Many say that he was not chosen in the last few games, because he needed to be tried. Arsenal continued their great league performances, winning away to Charlton Athletic. Two of the goals came from Henry and Wiltord, and third from Edu. This was a new record, they have scored in the last 45 matches in the Premier League.

Rami came to the Gunners expecting to be substitute, and he seems like he will remain one. It may be early on, but many are betting, that he'll be the first Arab, to get a Premier League medal.
