Hany Ramzy signed officially for FC-Saarbruecken for one and half year (till 30th June 2007) and will wear shirt no. 44.

Ramzy didn't retire from professional football

Egyptian veteran defender Hany Ramzy will return back to professional football as he signed a one and half year contract with Bundesliga II club FC Saarbrucken.

The Egyptian trialed at the Bundesliga 2 club and impressed his coach Rudi Bommer in the friendly match between FC Saarbrucken and the amateurs of FC Kaiserslautern (Ramzy's previous club) which ended in a 1-1 draw.

It should be noted that the 36 year old Hany Ramzy started his European career Neochatel Xamax before joining German Bundesliga champions Werder Bremen in 1994. The Egyptian then continued his career at FC Kaiserslautern till the end of last season as he was released by the club on free transfer.
