Ramzy's Kaiserslautern keep sinking

Date: 26-9-2003.
Wrote: EP's reporter Islam Issa

Hany Ramzy's Kaiserslautern were unable to perform against Czech Republic side Teplice. Kaiser lost 2-1, and are not doing well in the Bundesliga either. Teplice who won the Czech Cup in 2003 managed to win by two goals to one. Although there were early attacks from Timm and Klose, Rezek of Teplice managed to give the away side the lead early on after around five minutes.

After this, the German striker Klose tried his luck in many attacks, and eventually equalized in the second half via a headed goal. Just minutes later though a mix-up after a free-kick left Henrich Bencik with an easy finish to win the first leg for Teplice.

With that, Kaiserslautern are 2-1 down as they enter the away leg. As well as this, they conceded two away goals. A bad game for Ramzy's side who were expecting more. Ramzy of course missed the game due to his long-term injury.

Meanwhile, in the Bundesliga, Kaiserslautern were in the bottom two throughout until their latest win. This put them in 13th, but ahead of the relegation zone by only a number of goals. There are a lot of worries that relegation will be the result of this poor season so far. One win and one draw are all the team has done in the first six games.
