Hany Ramzy's Kaiserslautern will kick off their Bundesliga campaign pretty soon. The Red Devils and their coach Eric Gerets are optimistic over the new season despite their heavy defeat at the hands of Portuguese side Vitoria by four goals to one few days ago.

Ramzy to kick off the new season in few days:

Hany Ramzy will start the new season with Kaiserslautern in few days. The Red Devils will face 1860 München next Saturday. The team faced some lower divisions squads in the preseason phase and Ramzy scored four times in the last two games.

Poor ending for the preseason phase:

Kaiserslautern suffered a heavy defeat against the Portuguese side Vitoria Guimaraes by four goals to one. Despite the defeat, the coach Eric Gerets was optimistic after the game and said "it was a good test for us". The coach admitted that his side lacked good finishing at front as they failed to convert many chances and on the contrary, they conceded four goals before Nenad Bjelica scored their only goal near the end of the game from a freekick.

Moreover, Gerets added: "when I was the coach of PSV Eindhoven, we lost in 1987 in the season preparation almost all games, but we won afterwards the championship, cup and Champion League."

EP wishes Hany Ramzy a successful season and will have full coverage on his first game in the Bundesliga next Saturday.
