(After the nations cup its over with
the national team)
Play: how was the 3-0 loss to Dortmund and what
are it's effects on the total situation of Kaiserslautern
this season?
Ramzy: I hope natural, I also believe that it
won't give us any problems, and I came over that defeat
and I am optimistic. After the game we had long time
to work and fix things again while on the other side
at Dortmund the sky was unclear. Who knows?, maybe if
we scored first it would have been our game since their
trainer Mattias Sammer said once that its hard for his
team to concede a goal as they often lose control after
conceding goals. So maybe if we scored we could have
won this.
Play: You also remain confident, Is that true?
Ramzy: Yes very true because by winning points
we can't be far than the fourth place, so by winning
all our home games we can also compete for the title..
Play: after the winter break you and Taribo
west will head for the next Nations Cup. Why do u want
to remain playing for the national team although you
have an outstanding 123 national caps?
Ramzy: Egypt now has a very young team, and
the next cup is very important for Egypt. The WC qualification
dream for Egypt ended and we didn't make it. Both the
coach and president of the football association where
under attack. Now everything is in order and we still
can do something in the next African Nations Cup. But
after the next cup my days with the national team will
be over.
Play: Then your full concentration will be for
the FCK?
Ramzy: Yes sure I will be targeting the team
goal and continue playing for my team, I am contracted
with FCK till 2004.
Play: You seem like having your career well
planned. What about when u out and 35 years old?
Ramzy: Well it looks like a happy future, but
I can't say more about it. It looks like I am going
to have an Italian future, maybe I will play for a small
second division team. My future wife Emanuela will come
to Cairo and we will marry in January.and yes she is
Italian"
