A packed attendance of 40,160 witnessed Miroslav Klose's goal in win the game against Bayer 04 Leverkusen. Leverkusen's loss was described as 'unlucky'.

Ramzy had the job of defending against Dimitar Berbatov who was the lone striker for the opposition. Kaiser who had not lost in their last nine games, tried to get past a very defensive away line-up.

Twelve minutes into the game, Berbatov was through following a one-two with Babic. He chipped the goalkeeper Wiese, but Tchato scraped the ball off the line! Ramzy then hit his own post trying to clear the ball!

The first thirty minutes belonged to Leverkusen. This was followed by good attacking play from Kaiserslautern. Lockvenc and Klose had very good chances which were denied. In the 40th minute however, Klose broke the deadlock. Dominguez sent a cross in and the German striker headed very well into the net.

For the remainder of the match, Kaiser didn't even manage to get out of their half much. They continued defending. Schneider took a shot which just missed the target, and Juan just about missed two big opportunities.

This puts Kaiserslautern in a much better place. Leverkusen could really get relegated now! Ramzy once again played a full game. Despite nearly scoring an own goal he played in a satisfactory manner.
