BREAKING NEWS: Hany Ramzy Is Back!

Egyptian veteran defender Hany Ramzy participated in Kaiserslautern's German cup game against Freiburg and SCORED THE FIRST GOAL. The Egyptian opened the score for the Red Devils in the 64th min. and Lincolin made it 2-0 in the 67th min. The game is the first for Ramzy since his long term sickness and it looks like the Egyptian is coming back in top form.


Great come back for Ramzy

Prematch:

The Egyptian veteran defender Hany Ramzy finally made his come back to the green field after his long term sickness. Ramzy was selected for Kaiserslautern's home German cup game against Freiburg as a substitute.

First half:

The first chance for Kaiserslautern came in the 12th min. when Timm sent a low cross to the unmarked Lincoln in the area. The latter sent it low with his right but Freiburg's keeper parried the ball successfully.

Just one minute later and from a counter attacking move, Zlatan Bajramovic was about to make it 0-1 for Freiburg when he dribbled past his marker and powered a low shot at goal. However, Kaiserslautern's keeper kept it away.

In the 18th min. Kaiserslautern's coach was forced to make a substitution as Sforza suffered an injury while he was trying a sliding tackle. As a result, Hany Ramzy replaced the veteran Swiss defender.

In the 29th min. Dominguez had a golden opportunity to score for the Red Devils as he received a long through pass and dribbled past the keeper, but his shot was blocked by a defender.

Just before half time, Kaiserslautern wasted a real chance. Lincoln dribbled past his marker in the left wing and passed the ball to the free Locvenc who missed the target oddly from just outside the six yards box!.

Second half:

During half time, Kaiserslautern's young goalkeeper Wiese was replaced by Koch as he suffered an injury before the end of the first half.

The first chance for Kaiserslautern in the 2nd half came after 57 minutes when Mario Basler made a cross high into the area. Locvenc headed the ball superbly at goal but his header was denied by the post.

In the 65th min. HANY RAMZY SCORED FOR KAISERSLAUTERN!. What a come back for the Egyptian. Mario Basler played the corner kick high into the area, Ramzy jumped high, met the ball with his head and it went into the back of the net.

Two minutes later, Kaiserslautern scored the 2nd! Locvenc passed the ball short to Lincolin who was onside, one on one with the keeper and he had no problems making it 2-0.

Minutes later, Freiburg had a golden chance to score but they squandered the chance. On the other side, Kaiserslautern wasted a similar chance when Lincoln received a low cross in front of goal, but he sent the shot way wide of the post.

Conclusion:

Ramzy made an excellent comeback. He played and scored which was very important for his self confidence in this period.
