Ten days ago, Hany Ramzy started after his disease (suspicion of lungs-tuberculosis) to train with the club. On Friday (8th November) and for the first time Hany participated in the team-training. Betze-magazine had an interview with the 33 year old Egyptian.

Betze-magazine: Hany Ramzy, how you feel after training for a couple of days?

Hany Ramzy: I am OK and I feel much better. I didn't start heavy training yet because I didn't touch the ball in the last two months.

Betze-magazine: What will be your program in the next period?

Hany Ramzy: I spoke about that with Trainer Erik Gerets. I will start training alone at first, then in the coming week I will start training with the team. Perhaps I can in about two weeks play with the reserve team in order to get game practice which is very important at this period. And then I hope to play two or three Bundesliga games before the end of this year.

Betze-magazine: A couple of weeks ago, your situation looked very different, it was actually much worse. Was it a surprise that you can train again?

Hany Ramzy: certainly, I expected to be back in training in Febraury 2003, But examinations revealed that my condition is not as bad as it initially looked which gave my self-confidence a boost.

Betze-magazine: Can you tell us about the last period of illness and the time of the uncertainty?

Hany Ramzy: Naturally, I was very worried, you can imagine that when someone comes to visit me, he must put a mouth protection. But now fortunately everything is OK.
