It is now confirmed that Egyptian veteran defender Hany Ramzy will be out of action for undetermined time after the increasing suspension that he suffers from Lung-Tuberculosis (TB).

The player spent the past two weeks in hospital with suspected pneumonia. However, further investigations on Ramzy's lungs revealed that he suffers from TB.

Ramzy knew that he suffers that illness since 3 September and was under treatment in a clinic in Kaiserslautern. The tests on him became intensive since the 23rd of September.

The new coach Erik Gerets declared his sadness that he will do for a long time without the veteran, and he wished him fast recovery. As the team needs him in the current season.

As a precautionary measure, a background-diagnostics and an X-ray investigation of persons that were in the past weeks in contact with Hany Ramzy was made.

The player will be subjected to a long term therapy using anti-TB agents and anti-TB antibiotics which may take months of treatment till he fully recovers.

EP will follow Ramzy's case and bring more updates pretty soon. Let's all wish him speedy and full recovery.
