Eric Gerets is Ramzy's new coach

Kaiserslautern hired Belgian coach Eric Gerets as their new manager. The Belgian coach signed a contract with the Red Devils till 30th June 2004.

It is worth mentioning that Gerets is one of the most famous coaches in Belgium as he worked as manager for Lierse and former club of Nader El Sayed, Club Brugge.

Eric Gerets will be the new coach for Hany Ramzy

Impressive career:

Gerets won the European cup with PSV in 1987/1988 season. He also won several domestic trophies with Brugge. He also won the Dutch league in season 2001 with PSV Eindhoven.

The coach left PSV at end of last season following a number of disagreements with some big-named stars.

Not the first time to work with Egyptians:

Gerets was the former trainer of Brugge where Nader El Sayed played. The Belgian coach was convinced about Nader's abilities as goalkeeper and gave him a fair chance to play as a starter. But at end of season, he left Brugge and signed a contract with PSV which was unfortunate move for Nader as the new coach of Brugge never gave him a fair chance. Now the Belgian coach will work again with Egyptian defender Hany Ramzy.

A rescue mission:

Gerets' mission won't be easy as Kaiserslautern is currently 15th in the table, and the 48 year old coach should make a positive impression in the next few weeks to help the team to achieve a respectable league position.
