Hany Ramzy and his teammates suffered a bitter 1-5 defeat at the hands of Hertha BSC today. Neither Egyptian Hany Ramzy nor the Nigerian Taribo West were able to stop the endless attacks from Hertha BSC players who played one of their best games in the season so far.

First Half:

From the first minute of the game, Hertha BSC looked the better side, their pressure on Kaiserslautern's defense was overwhelming.

 

After only 13 minutes, Hertha players were able to score their first goal which came from a penalty kick, their striker got a through ball and dribbled the ball past Taribo west into the area, West had no option but to tackle Hertha's striker. The referee pointed to the spot and Marcelinho scored the first.

In the 37th min Goor added the 2nd goal for Hertha BSC. After confusion from Kaiser's defenders, one of Hertha's strikers got the ball in the area, Ramzy made a sliding tackle to stop him, but the ball was deflected and reached Goor who had no difficulty placing it into the net.

Third goal for Hertha BSC came after a cross from the right flank into the area, Ramzy was away from Preetz who had all the time in the world to stop the ball and place it gently into the net in the 43rd min..

After a long ball, Miroslav Klose got the ball in the area, he was in the clear and placed it with his left into the corner making it 1-3 in the 45th min.

Second Half:

In the 2nd half, Preetz added his 2nd goal and the 4th to Hertha BSC, this time it was a shot from just outside the area, Kaiser's keeper Koch failed to hold on his ball, and the ball fall into Preetz who placed it into the net. Hany Ramzy was there but it was difficult for him to stop it from that close range.

Marcelinho scored the 5th in the 69th min. It was a left wing cross this time, the ball hit the top of the ball and came back into the area, Marcelinho was faster than West to the ball and scored the goal.
