More Egyptians to Saudi Arabia?
Date: 4-1-2003
Wrote: EP's reporter Islam Issa

It seems like another Pharaoh will make his way to Saudi Arabia in the next few days. Alaa Ibrahim has been linked with a move to Al-Shabab. This transfer has not been finalized, but probably will be due to Ibrahim's current club Al-Ahly (Cairo) not needing him at this moment in time.

Al-Shabab who are on the same points as Barakat's Saudi Arabian side Al-Ahly, are in need of an attacker. If the transfer is to take place, it will be on loan for five to six months. The manager Jo Bonfrere is said to have accepted the offer for Alaa Ibrahim, but Finalization and confirmation is needed.

At the same time, Al-Helal of Saudi Arabia are rumored to be interested in the Egyptian left back Abou Mosalem of Al-Ahly. Saudi Arabian press has said that Al-Helal are very interested, but neither of the clubs have said anything regarding this matter. If accepted, this offer will also be a half-year loan.

EP will bring more details on these transfers, as they develop in the next week or so...
