Hassan's Anderlecht progressed to the 2nd spot in
the table after winning at home against Cercle Bruges.
Hassan started the game as a sub and came on with only
2 minutes left. Hassan was booked in the game just after
he came on.
Egyptian midfielder Ahmed Hassan came
on in the 88th minute of Anderlecht's home match against
Cercle Bruges. The Egyptian played for only five minutes
but still he got praised by his coach.
The win improved the Mauves standings
as they jumped to the 2nd spot in the table instead
of being 4th. However winning the league will be very
difficult.
The guests scored first in the 37th minute
through Sergeant but Van Damme equalized in the 41st
minute and the homeside managed to extend their lead
in the 2nd half through Boussouffa and Van Damme who
scored in the 65th and 70th respectively.
Hassan and Anderlecht will have talks about renewing the contract
for another year or two, but Hassan already agreed and signed
a contract with Al-Ahly so these talks are not expected to
succeed.
