Zidan's HSV managed to qualify to the last 16 round of UEFA cup after a goal-less draw with urich in the 2nd leg match. The first leg ended in a 3-1 win for Hamburg and so, they will advance with a 3-1 aggregate score to face Leverkusen. Mohamed Zidan couldn't feature in th game as he had a back pain before the match and had to be dropped from the selection. On the other hand, Anderlecht drew with Bordeaux 1-1 in the 2nd leg and advanced to the last 16 round as well. Hassan started the game on bench and came on in the 68th minute.

Hassan back to action with the Mauves

Bordeaux 1-1 Anderlecht:

Ahmed Hassan's Anderlecht managed to qualify to UEFA cup last 16 round after 3-2 aggregate win over French side Bordeaux.

The first leg in Belgium ended in a 2-1 narrow win for the Mauves. Hassan wasn't available for the match because of the ACN. Tonight, Anderlecht played the 2nd leg match and managed to hold Bordeaux to a 1-1 draw which was enough for them to qualify.

Egyptian star Ahmed Hassan didn't start the match but he came on in the 2nd half, particularly in the 68th minute and did well throughout minutes that he played.

Anderlecht managed to score first through Chatelle in the 34th minute of the game. The homeside had to score three goals in order to qualify but they only managed to score a single goal in the 71st minute to end the game in a 1-1 draw.

It should be noted that Bordeaux' player Tremoulinas had to leave the field in the 72nd minute after receiving a red card and the homeside had to resume the match with 10 men.
