Ahmed Hassan has
apologized for RSC Anderlecht for his late return from
the Africa Cup of Nations. The Egyptian midfielder also
accepted the fine that the club has imposed on him which
includes a 20% cut off in his wages for the current
month.
Hassan already had a ready explanation
for his late return: "I am injured."
"The doctor told me that I should rest, I have
proof of that. I would not say more about it. I'll come
on Tuesday to Belgium I will explain the situation more"
He added.
It should be noted that Ahmed Hassan got the worst
possible fine for his late return from the Africa Cup.
That means 20 percent of his monthly wage.
Manager Van Holsbeeck said that he will congratulate Hassan
for leading Egypt to the Cup win in ACN 2008, but he stressed
that Hassan will have to accept his fine which is (according
to the the internal rules of the club), equals a fine of 20
per cent of salary for "unlawful missing 'of a match.
After Ahmed Hassan's arrival today at 14:00 Belgium time,
he will have to meet immediately with his manager Herman van
Holsbeeck as he thinks there is a misunderstanding that should
be clarified.
