Ahmed Hassan is
still not back at Anderlecht. The playmaker is still
celebrating the African Cup with the national team and
also travelled with the team to Dubai, which will result
in a serious fine.
"Nobody will wait for Hassan,"
said Anderlecht manager Herman van Holsbeeck.
The Egyptian was supposed to return on Tuesday, two
days after Accra's finale on Sunday evening.
"We had said that he could return two or three
days later if he won the finals. But ten days? He isn't
allowed to do so," added the manager.
"He will have to bear the financial consequences."
In the Egyptian press Hassan was quoted as saying he
was injured but van Holsbeeck doesn't find this an excuse.
"If he is injured, then he should join us and we'll
examine him, but we've known nothing so far."
