Egyptian star Ahmed Hassan played a full match for his side Anderlecht in their home match versus Mons Bergen. Hassan impressed and scored a fine goal for his side. He also created some good chances for his teammates and was close to score two more goals.

The game is the last for Hassan and Anderlecht before the winter break. They needed to end the disappointing first half of this season with a win especially after last week's defeat at the hands of Brugge.

Generally, Anderlecht were the better side throughout the game but defensive mistakes cost the home side two goals and the game ended in a 3-2 win.

Anderlecht scored first through Ofoe who sent the ball home with his left from inside the box. However, the guests equalized in the 20th minute through Zoko who received the ball in front of goal after a fine low pass from the left side of the area, Zoko was left with a simple finish and he scored with ease to make the score 1-1.

In the 35th minute, Mbo Mpenza crossed the ball from the right side of the area to Hassan at the near post, the Egyptian headed the ball superbly home to make the score 2-1.

In the 40th minute, Goor got the ball in the right wing and he spotted Hassan in a good position in front of goal, he tried a low cross to Hassan but the defender Nibombe intervened and tried to clear the ball before the Egyptian. However, he sent the ball into his own net and made the score 3-1 for Anderlecht.

Nine minutes after the kick off of the 2nd half, Zoko added another goal for the guests. The ball was chipped to him behind the defense and he faced Zitka and sent the ball past him with his right to make the score 3-2.

Inthe final minutes of the game, Hassan had a couple of real chances to score. The first came from a one on one situation with the goalkeeper but the Egyptian sent the ball wide with his right. The second canme through a fine header by the Egyptian but the goalkeeper turned the ball behind for a corner kick.

Now, the Belgian league will pause for the winter break, Hassan will come to Egypt on a vacation and hopefully, Anderlecht will improve their deteriorating form after the break.
