Ahmed Hassan tried his best to help his teammates at
Anderlecht to achieve win in their away clash with Sin-Truiden.
The Egyptian scored a goal, won a penalty kick and scored
from the spot but that wasn't enough as poor finishing
and defending from the Mauves cost them dear.
Hassan's Anderlecht were unfortunate to
lose their away match versus Sint-Truiden. The Mauves
were leading the game by three goals to two but conceded
two late goals because of defensive errors and the game
ended in a 4-3 loss which put Anderlecht further away
from defending their title.
Egyptian star Ahmed Hassan played a very
good match and did his best to help his struggling side.
The Egyptian scored the equalizer for Andrlecht while
they were behind by a goal and scored the third goal
for Anderlecht as well from a penalty kick.
Sin-Truiden shocked Anderlecht by a goal
as Peeters fired the ball home from close range in the
25th minute. However, Ahmed Hassan equalized from a
fine volley shot after a corner kick from the right
wing in the 29th minute.
Just a couple of minutes later, Van Damme
scored from a another corner kick as he sent the ball
with his body into the back of the net.
In the 38th minute Houdt sent an unstoppable
shot into the top corner and Zitka could do nothing about
it.
A minute before half time, Hassan was brought
down inside the area and the referee pointed to the spot.
The Egyptian scored from the spot as he sent his shot into
the top corner to make the score 2-3.
In the 2nd half, Anderlecht wasted many chances
by Legaar and Thereo in particular. On the other hand, Sin-Truiden
were fortunate to score from two late chances in the 85th
and 90th minutes respectively to end the game in a 3-4 defeat
for Hassan's side.
