Anderlecht Suffer Second Defeat This Season

Ahmed Hassan's Anderlecht lost for the 2nd time this season as they ended their away clash with Germinal Beerschot in a 2-0 defeat. Hassan played the full match and had some decent attempts on goal but couldn't help with the result. The defeat put the Mauves seven points away from the leaders, Club Bruges.

Hassan's side needed the win to keep chasing Club Brugges but a loss put them away from top by seven points.

The home side put Anderlecht under pressure from the start annd they manage to score an early goal in the 19th minute through Sanharib Malki. The early goal gave them the boost to defend their lead and add a second goal in the 77th minute of the game to win the match by two goals to nil.

Hassan had a couple of decent attempts on goal throughout the game. He headed the ball over the bar from inside the box in the first half and forced the goalkeeper to make a save in the 2nd after a opowerful shot.
