Hassan Assists As Anderlecht Beat Gent 2-1

Anderlecht achieved an imporant home win over Ghent by two goals to one. Egyptian star Ahmed Hassan played the full match and made a superb assist for Frutos to score the 2nd goal for the home side. Hassan laid the ball to the Argentinean with a superb backheel and the latter made no mistake and scored.

Egyptian star Ahmed Hassan helped his side emerge victorious in their home clash with Gent as he assisted the second goal which came in the first half through Argentinean forward Nicholas Frutos.

Hassan didn't only assist the 2nd goal but he was close to score two goals for the Mauves. The Egyptian couldn't convert in both chances though as he sent the ball over the bar in the first chance after three minutes from the kick off while he sent it just wide in his second attempt.

The victory put Anderlecht in the 4th position in the table but they still have a lot of work to do to claim the top spot again.

The homeside started the game with pressure since the kick off and Hassan wasted a good chance in the 3nd minute when the ball was crossed low to him inside the box, the Egyptian couldn't hit the target with his left as he sent the ball just over the bar.

I the 15th minute, Legear managed to put the Mauves ahead when he received the ball in the right side of the box and sent a bullet drive into the back of the net to make the score 1-0 for Anderlecht.

Midway though the first half, Hassan got another chance to score when the ball sent long to him in the box, the Egyptian tried to hit the ball home on the volley with his right but it went just wide.


In the 44th minute, the ball was played long into the direction of Hassan in the area, the Egyptian spotted Frutos free from marking in front of goal and sent a m,agical pass to him with his backheel and Frutos sent the ball into the back of the net and went to thank the Egyptian Hassan for his superb assist.

The 2nd half was alot more quiet than the first as Anderlecht already led by two goals in the first and so, much less chances werre created.

It should be noted that the guests managed to claw a goal back in the first miunte of the second half through Gonzales but Anderlecht defender their lead and won the three points in the end.
