Ahmed Hassan played a full match for Anderlecht against
Lokeren. Anderlecht controlled the game from start to
end but victory came very late in the game through Mohamed
Tchite. Hassan had two close attempts on goal, the first
was denied by the keeper while the 2nd went just wide.
Anderlecht won again in the Belgian Jupiler
league to remain on top of the Belgian league. This
week they faced Lokeren at home and won by a single
goal.
On the other side, Last season's runners
up Racing Genk suffered a shocking 5-0 defeat at the
hands of Ghent.
Victory didn't come easy though as the
goalkeeper of Lokeren played an excellent game and was
clearly the man of the match as he saved many attempts
from the Mauves side.
Hassan played the game from the start
and almost scored early on from a rising shot from the
edge of the box. However, the excelling goalkeeper managed
to parry his shot away.
Anderlecht Continued their pressure and
created alot more chances but the goalkeeper was always
in the right place and so, the score remained 0-0 till
the final minutes.
In the 2nd half, Hassan got another chance from a well placed
brave header but he missed the target just by inches.
Just a few minutes from the final whistle, Mbo
Mpenza crossed low into the box to Tchite and the latter met
the ball directly with his right to make the score 1-0 and
to win three precious points for the Mauves.
