Egyptian star Ahmed Hassan spoke aout his goals next
season. He confidently told the press that Anderlecht
should win the double and do well in Europe as well.
Ahmed Hassan is confident that the Mauves
can do well next season. The Egyptian was quoted saying:
"I'm having the greatest moments
of my career in Belgium. We need to win the double this
year and perform well in the Champions League."
Hassan also added that the fans were the
main reason for him to stay with Anderlecht and not
return to Egypt as he planned earlier:
"The fans are fantastic. They are
the reason why I chose to stay. Even on a throw-in,
they applaud for me," he said.
Aside from this news, coaches of the Belgian
first division see that Anderlecht players Mémé
Tchité and Ahmed Hassan are top favorites to win next
year's Golden Boot.
"In the coming months I want to show I
can still do better than last season. But of course there
are several competitors to win the Golden Boot, so it won't
be easy. I think Tchité, Biglia, Soetaers, Chatelle,
Jovanovic, Sterchele and Defour are likely to win the prize,"
said the Egyptian midfielder.
