In the 2nd half, Mohamed Tchite wasted a couple of real chances
that could decide the game for Anderlecht. In addition to
this, Brugge looked more dangerous in the opening minutes
of the 2nd half and managed to claw a goal back through a
low shot from inside the box after a defensive error.
In the 70th minute, Hassan had a big chance
to score when Van Damme crossed the ball from the left wing
into the box, the Egyptian tried a volley shot but the ball
come off the pitch and went just over the bar.

Hassan disappointed after missing the chance
After the goal, Brugge had a chance to get back
into the game and level the score but the goalkeeper Zitka
played a great role in keeping Brugge's danger at bay as he
made two excellent saves.

Fine all round performance by Hassan in first official game
In the final minutes of the game, Mbo Mpenza
and the unlucky Tchite came off and this gave Hassan the chance
to go forward by himself. The Egyptian led a counter attack
and advanced with the ball into Brugge's area, he passed low
to Boussoufa and the latter acted unselfishly as he layed
the ball back to Hassan who placed it gently with his right
on the volley to make the score 3-1.
The win meant that Hassan's Anderlecht won the
Belgian Super Cup for the 2nd season in a row.
EP congratulate Hassan for his first trophy
this season and promise the the fans with improved coverage
on all Egyptians abroad this season. EP will offer more multimedia,
higher quality videos and exclusive photos from all games.
