Anderlecht's Egyptian player Ahmed Hassan won a new award in Belgium. He has been selected in second place in the official Best Player awards of the Jupiler League, also making him the Best Midfielder this season.

Team-mate striker Mohamed Tchite won Best Player with his 19 goals which helped Anderlecht's success in the league. Egyptian star Ahmed Hassan scored 15 goals for Anderlecht this season was runner-up while Germinal Beerschot's top goal-scorer, forward Francois Sterchele was voted as the third Best Player in the league this season.

This makes the Egypt captain the top player in Belgium who is not a striker, as both first and third placed players are forwards. Hassan - the Best Midfielder of the season - almost matched their high netting tally with his impressive number of goals.

On the other hand, Hassan was also selected third best player of the last week by Anderlecht fans, who voted Zitka and Tom Soetaers as the top two players of the final match-day.
