Hassan Scores As Anderlecht Crowned Champions!

Ahmed Hassan scored the opening goal for Anderlecht in their clash with Brusells which ended in a 6-0 win. On the other side Racing Genk lost at home to Charleroi by two goals to one and so, Ahmed Hassan and his teammates will be crowned as the league champions.

Hassan finally won a title in Europe! He led Anderlecht to win their 29th league title in their history and the first league win for the Egyptian in Europe. Hassan played in Turkey for long years but couldn't win a championship there and after long years after Mido's winning of the double with Ajax, Hassan became the 2nd Egyptian abroad to win a major title with his European team.

The Egyptian played the match while still suffering from flu and fever. However, he managed to score in the 7th minute after a fine through pass, Hassan kept cool in front of goal and played the ball behind the body of the goalkeeper to give Anderlecht the lead.

The Mauves found no troubles in the game as Brussels couldn't challenge them much. Hassan's side added a 2nd goal through Frutos who scored from a well placed header.

In the 2nd half, Hassan sent a through pass to Boussoufa inside the box, the later was fouled in the box and Anderlecht won a penalty kick from which Biliga scored the 3rd goal.


Minutes later, Hassan couldn't continue because of flu and was replaced. The whole stadium cheered for the Egyptian he left the pitch.

With 10 minutes left, Frutos shot the ball into the direction of goal to find Colpaert who tried to clear the ball but he deflected it home instead to make the score 4-0.

In the 84th minute, Mohamed Tchite who came on in the 2nd half scored from a well placed freekick and added the 6th goal in the final minutes from a penalty kick after a foul on Frutos inside the box.
