Ahmed Hassan came on as a late sub in Anderlecht's
away clash with Standard in the Belgian Cup semi final.
The job was already a difficult one for the Mauves as
they lost the first leg by a single goal. After a goal
less first half, Standard scored from a low shot but
a minute after the introduction of the Egyptian Hassan,
the Mauves equalized.
The Egyptian inspired his side to get back into the
game and they almost did but a fatal mistake from the
keeper Zitka resulted in a penalty kick for the homeside,
from which they added their 2nd goal which mean the
exit of Hassan's side from cup. It should be noted that
the Egyptian was supposed to start but he suffered from
flu in the past few days so he only came on as sub near
the end.
