Hassan Scores & Wins Penalty As Mauves Beat Roeselare 0-5

Egyptian star Ahmed Hassan played a fine match versus Roeselare as he scored the 2nd goal and won a penalty kick which resulted in the 3rd goal as well. The Egyptian also hit the bar in the 2nd half with a powerful shot. The away game ended in an easy win for Anderlecht by five goals to nil.

Egyptian star Ahmed Hassan showed a superb performance in the Mauves away clash with Roeselare in the Belgian league. Man of the match Ahmed Hassan scored, won a penalty kick and hit the bar in the game which ended in a 0-5 win for Anderlecht.

The win kept Anderlecht on top of the table with two points ahead of Racing Genk. Both sides still have three matches to play but Anderlecht have the advantage of playing at home in two of these matches.

Anderlecht didn't face much challenge in the game. Legear scored an early goal after just a couple of minutes from the kick off as he advanced with the ball from the right side of the area and sent it home into the near corner to beat the goalkeeper and make the score 0-1 for the Mauves.

In the 20th minute, Egyptian star Ahmed Hassan played a one-two with Bousoufa and advanced on the keeper, Hassan lost the ball to a defender but it bounced back to him and this time he slotted it home to double the lead for Anderlecht.

In the 40th minute, Legear scored his 2nd goal in the game when he tricked his marker and sent a chip over the goalkeeper to make the score 0-3.

Just a minute before half time, Hassan drove with the ball from the left flank, he tried to advance with t into the penalty area but a defender caught his leg and the referee pointed directly to the spot. Hassan's teammate Frutos converted the penalty kick and made the score 0-4.


The 2nd half didn't witness as many goals as the first as Anderlecht were already content with their lead. However, Hassan almost added the 5th goal when he controlled the ball superbly just outside the box and fired a bullet drive at goal that was denied by the bar.

A few minutes later, Mbokani came on to replace Frutos, the new striker wasted two easy chances when he came on but in the 88th miinute, he managed to score finally to make the result 0-5.
