Anderlecht Fail to Claim Top Spot

Ahmed Hassan's Anderlecht failed to take advantage of the surprizing 0-5 defeat for the table leaders Racing Genk. Anderlecht couldn't beat Zulte-Waregem after a poor performance from the homeside and wasted two precious points. Now, Genk are still in the leading spot but with only one point ahead of the Mauves.

Hassan's Anderlecht couldn't beat their guests Zulte-Waregem on Sunday and the game ended in a 0-0 draw after a poor show from the Mauves on their home ground.

Meanwhile, Racing Genk suffered a 0-5 defeat which comes after their cup loss against Anderlecht by six goals to nil.

The results mean that Anderlecht are now only one point behind Genk anf could possibly claim the top spot in the table in the coming weeks.
