Hassan Hat-Tricks vs Charleroi!

Egyptian star Ahmed Hassan played a fantastic game versus Charleroi as he scored a hat-trick and decided the game by himself to grant Anderlecht a difficult win over their guests by three goals to two. Hassan scored three times and created many real chances to teammates who wasted the chance after the other. The Egyptian also had a few fine shots on goal.

Egyptian star Ahmed Hassan was at his best as he scored a hat-trick versus Charleroi which is his first hat-trick since he moved to Belgium.

Hassan was clearly the man of the match, not only because he decided the match all by himself, but due to his great vision, passes and shots on goal as well.

Anderlecht were the better side from the kick off. The match could end up in a 6 or 7 score for the mauves if they took their chances well. However, their strikers wasted the chance after the other and their goalkeeper Zitka made a fatal mistake to let the guests level the score to 1-1.

Hassan had a fantastic game and it took him a few minutes to start causing problems to Charleroi defense. The Egyptian struck the ball well from the edge of the box after a few minutes from the start but it missed the target by inches.

Minutes later, Goor powered another shot from outside the box at goal, but the goalkeeper managed to turn it behind for a corner kick for Anderlecht.

In the 16th minute, Anderlecht won a corner kick, the ball was crossed high into the box to find Frutos who headed it at goal, the goalkeeper parried the ball which fell to Hassan who was well positioned in front of goal and tapped it in to give the Mauves the lead. 1-0.

Minutes later, Hassan sent a fine through pass to Goor in the right wing, the latter crossed the ball hard to find Frutos who tried a volley but his shot hit the floor and went to Boussouffa. The latter tried to bury the ball home on the volley but he missed by inches.,

A few minutes later, Boussouffa laid the ball to Hassan at the edge of the box and the Egyptian sent a great volley shot at goal but the goalkeeper managed to get to it and turned it behind for a corner.

Near the end of the first half, Anderlecht won a freekick and Hassan tried to send the ball into the far corner. However, the ball came off a defender and went back to Bassegio who hit it just wide.

The one and only dangerous ball from Charleroi came in the last minute of the first half through a powerful shot from the edge of the box but it went over the bar.

Early on in the 2nd half, Hassan tried a volley from the edge of the box but his shot went slightly over the bar.

Later, Hassan shone once more with a terrific through pass to Boussoufa who had only the goalkeeper to beat but his end product was lacking as he sent the ball just wide and squandered the real chance which was created by the Egyptian.

The pressure continued from Anderlecht side and Baseggio laid the ball to Hassan who fired a shot from the edge of the box at goal but the Egyptian shot went centimeters over the bar.


In the 68th minute, Charleroi managed to pull level through a goal from long range shot by Camus. The goal was totally against the run of play and was a result from a fatal mistake from the goalkeeper Zitka who couldn't hold onto the ball and it fell from his hands to end its path into the back of the net. 1-1

In the 70th minute, Frutos had a golden chance to score when he was onside behind the defense and managed to round the goalkeeper. However, he finished terribly and sent the ball into the side netting instead of the empty goal.

In the 77th minute, A long deep cross was played from the left flank into the area, the defense failed to clear the ball which reached Hassan who was blocked by the oncoming goalkeeper but the Egyptian managed to send the ball home in the 2nd attempt to make the score 2-1.

In the 84th minute and from one of their rare attacks, Charleroi managed to level the score again through Brice who buried the ball home after a fine cross from the left win. Brice was well positioned in front of goal and sent the ball elegantly home to make the score 2-2 and to upset the whole Anderlecht crowd.

Then again, the savior Ahmed Hassan shone once more and scored a great goal from a freekick in the 89th minute to seal his hat-trick and win precious three points for his side.

After the match, the focus was naturally on the star Hassan who decided the match by himself. The commentator on TV described Hassan by "Spectacular Hassan" and the Egyptian was interviewed after the final whistle and said:

"Of course I am delighted. It was a very big game and the most important thing that we won the three points in the end".

"I congratulate all Anderlecht fans and all my teammates for the result" The Egyptian added.

Regarding leaving Anderlecht at end of season, the Egyptian confirmed that there is nothing certain in his mind at the moment and that he is still undecided about his future as he said:

"We will see at end of season. There is still time till the end of season and I will decide when the season ends". The Egyptian concluded.
